Yahaira and Walter flew in from New York, to have Cohart Photography shoot their engagement session in preparation for their New York wedding! The location? Miami Beach! The sunrise beach session was the perfect backdrop for their story. Showing that finding love is a journey full of patience and perseverance. One worth waiting for. I had made an appointment to my local bank when Karla served me. Behind her was a framed picture saying ‘I said yes’ of her and her fiancé. “So when is the wedding day” I asked. Now with all those wedding articles and guides, for some brides it’s just what they needed to plan their wedding but for some, it can be a little difficult to put so much info into perspective. Sometimes all a bride-to-be needs is a free consultation from your professional photographer to get you some traction with your wedding plans. So we recommended DJ Sean Paul and Carib Island Films! Paying careful attention to the bride’s needs was a coordinated effort creating a memorable night of music, pictures and video! With Hillcrest Golf and Country Club as the host, the outdoor ceremony made for a beautiful sunset backdrop. Ready to make their grand entrance, the hall was beautifully lit with DJ Sean Paul’s up-lights and a custom design monogram with Karla and Lawrence’s name! Karla and Lawrence’s wedding was a great experience because not only were they fun to be around but I also got to work with some of the most reliable vendors out there! To Karla and Lawrence!

Awesome wedding, with a beautiful couple, in a beautiful and colourful setting. The perfect and memorable pictures. I wish them, all the happiness in the world.
The board wanted to do something special this year and did so by holding the college dinner at the Hilton in Palm Beach County! The itinerary for the evening was Limo driven students from the college campus, greeted by the Cohart Photography paparazzi lol for candid shots! Followed by dinner, portraits session outside by the gazebo and finally the party with DJ JD on the mix. I began reminiscing of my college days as a student. The students totally enjoying their time at college and that’s a testament the FAU student culture and leaders.
Now this was challenging, taking portraits of 80 students with a mixture of story telling, photojournalism, and candid shots! I had 5 seconds to get a feel for each student and their chemistry with each other so I could have a mixture of posed, candid and some story telling shots! It was great seeing their personalities shine through! Now the party….these guys didn’t need a warm up to get going! They got partying and made the most of the night, singing in groups with hands up in the air. By now I became attached to these guys and left with a question in my mind….where’s the after party guys?! Thanks to the board members, Nicholas, Alex, Kristal and Joseph for planning such a successful event!
